editorial illustration Eleanor was wielding a crayon before she could walk. Her early education was enriched with after-school art classes and summer art camps. She studied fine art, illustration and design at the Emily Carr Institute and Simon Fraser University.

As an adult she draws as much as possible. She's a published children's book illustrator with Gumboot Books, and whole-heartedly supports illustrations for adults.

Eleanor's illustration style is influenced by a range of sources including the shapes of 1950's packaging graphics, the lines of Al Hirschfeld, the colours of Ted Harrison, and the depth of Michael Abraham.

Eleanor is a member of Children's Writers and Illustrators of British Columbia.
